McDonald’s: Loop

Red helped McDonald’s launch its new partnership with global reuse platform Loop: a world-first ‘rent’ your coffee cup scheme enabling customers to bring in their cup to receive a deposit back, thus reducing waste and saving customers money.

With the scheme being trialed in Northamptonshire, 0ur three-pronged launch plan concentrated on ‘how to’ video content and a media strategy that focused on a regional media and influencers first plan alongside a national exclusive. Dan Jones from The Sun and local influencer Northamptons.mums.kids were among the first to trial the scheme at the Wellingborough restaurant.

The resulting 10 pieces of in-depth positive coverage included four national hits and helped deliver returns in the pilot stores.
