Singing the praises of unsung heroes
This week saw the culmination of months of hard work as Huawei finished Schubert’s famously ‘Unfinished Symphony’ using the power of AI.
Back in 2018, we were challenged to create an activation to ‘make the impossible possible,’ which resulted in the idea of channeling the AI in Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro to finish the symphony which has remained unfinished for 197 years…until now!
Last night's star-studded launch at Cadogan Hall kicked off with a drinks reception followed by a panel Q&A hosted by classical musician and presenter, Myleene Klass. The panelists discussed the process of finishing Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 using the power of AI in Huawei’s smartphone, and what this could mean for the future of AI in music and wider culture.
The English Session Orchestra then performed the ‘Finished’ Symphony, to an audience of over 400 media guests and key opinion leaders from ten Western European markets.
The coverage has already started rolling in with over 300 pieces across Western Europe secured so far, with lots more to come.
