Better LGBTQ+ ad representation needed
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), the charity that saves live at sea, has selected Red Consultancy to support its forthcoming Mayday campaign.
With ambitious targets of £750,000 in donations, this year’s Mayday annual fundraising event aims to be the biggest and best yet. Mayday distress calls come in 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with volunteer crews around the country on standby to drop everything in an instant. The RNLI’s Mayday campaign is the charity’s own call for help – to raise the vital funds needed to keep the charity and its 237 stations around the country operating.
Since winning a place on the RNLI’s roster just over a year ago, Red has been appointed on three campaigns: promoting the Alternative Boat Race (250 mini sponsored lifeboats on the Thames); the H2Only Challenge (creating London’s first water-only bar to encourage people to drink only water for 10 days); and Fish Supper (encouraging Brits to host a fish themed meal at home).
