Boots UK has launched a health campaign to raise awareness of melanoma among young people and try to encourage them, and the rest of the country, to establish a life-long habit of regularly checking their moles.
Melanoma is the fastest growing form of skin cancer in the UK and Boots UK has assessed data that shows today’s 15-24 year olds are more likely than previous generations to develop melanoma in their lifetime. To help with early detection, Boots UK is offering a Mole Scanning Service in conjunction with ScreenCancer UK at selected stores across the country.
We generated strong editorial pick up of the story by bringing together research angles and case studies, as well as facilitating journalists getting their own moles scanned. Coverage has appeared across national, regional and consumer print media plus online titles.
