Britons are itching to get back to the pub with almost one third planning to go to their local within a week of their opening, according to research from Caterer.com
We worked with Caterer.com to look at how the hospitality industry will adapt to changing government regulations and expectations from customers when visiting restaurants, pubs and hotels.
And it’s an encouraging picture. Within the first week of lockdown measures easing, almost a third (31%) of consumers were planning to go to the pub – injecting as much as £3.8bn into the hospitality industry. This figure increased even more in London, with over half (53%) saying they’d be enjoying a pint at their local as soon as able.
A great spread of coverage was achieved on the story including The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mirror, The Sun and Yahoo!.
