Better LGBTQ+ ad representation needed
McDonald’s has launched its annual search for those mums who go above and beyond for children involved in grassroots football up and down the country.
McDonald’s Football Mum of the Year seeks to recognise those extraordinary women who coach teams, ferry kids miles to matches, qualify as referees, raise money for kits and ensure that children who might not have opportunities within football do so.
The ultimate football wife and mum Coleen Rooney once again fronted the campaign but this year, she was joined in a stellar female line up alongside Jaqui Oatley (BBC), Casey Stoney (Arsenal and England player) and last year’s winner Leah Poole.
Red Consultancy co-ordinated all aspects of the launch including media interviews with spokespeople, wider media sell in, photo shoots and capturing content for social outputs.
