To mark Remembrance Day, we worked with Ancestry to release new research that revealed almost a third of Brits don’t know the full story behind their family’s wartime heritage. 62% also wished they had spoken more with their ancestors about their experiences during the war.
With more than 14 million World War medal records yet to be discovered by families across the UK, people could be missing out on stories of what their ancestors did to earn those accolades.
The media campaign sought to raise awareness that people can learn more about their military family history and access over 2 billion UK historical records by visiting Ancestry.
