Digital, Account Director (12-month fixed-term contract)

Shiny Red is a specialist social media and digital team, part of Red Consultancy – a comms agency with strong consumer, corporate, digital, travel and technology teams whose talent, creativity and passion continues to attract high profile clients. We’ve won multiple awards for our work across all key social and PR disciplines – over 100 industry awards since we started 26 years ago.

We are recruiting for an Account Director to join our Shiny team for one year (maternity cover).

This role will be working on a range of clients in the consumer tech, food and drink and lifestyle sectors.

Some of the things you’ll be doing…

• Managing a range of accounts on a day-to-day basis, ensuring they are running effectively
• Drafting, managing and approving the very best social content
• Coming up with creative ideas that will get cut through for clients and advising on social strategy
• Being a brilliant client person – responding to enquiries and providing counsel
• Managing a team of juniors
• Being a constant source of knowledge and inspiration about social media for the team, clients and wider agency
• Getting involved in new business proposals and pitching for new work
• Managing budgets and keeping on track of account administration

Who you are…

• Someone who lives and breathes social media – knows everything there is to know!
• Have proven examples of great social media work
• An established social media Account Director with great agency and consumer client experience
• An expert in creating brilliant plans and proposals
• Very creative, a great writer for social media
• Have a proven track record of directing teams and campaigns
• Experienced in budgeting and financial processes of projects
• A great team manager who enjoys upskilling junior colleagues
• Enthusiastic and happy to get your hands dirty pulling together great work for clients
